Presentation styling for a book on Revolutions. Styling for each section was chosen to be in sympathy with the period of the events.
Victorian Diaries
A fascinating book recording events from the Victorian era from the point of view of various unknown diarists, from a couple doing the grand tour to a small boy. Styling was chosen to be sympathetic to the material.
Ship
Presentation design for an encyclopaedia of ships; modernising the series styling while keeping the design in keeping with its partner volumes (like Earth). The curves and shapes were inspired in part by the shape of boats.
Genetics
Presentation design for a book on genetics, explaining the detail behind the topic. This work involved commissioning intricate artworks to explain the detail of genetic reproduction.
Bird
Presentation styling for an encyclopaedia of birds, to show birds in their habitats, along with profiles of all the major bird species.
History Page Layout
Layout work on the History book, after the styles had been adapted by the publishing house.
Earth
Layout work on several sections of this large encyclopaedia of the Earth involved closely reading the text and commissioning illustrations to explain the complex systems explained in the book.
Good Website Guide
A small printed book covering interesting websites, back when people still made paper guides to the web! The cover implies the filtering of web material by the book — presenting an edited list of the most useful sites on the web.
